7 STEPS TO A GREAT STRATEGY

Improve your Content marketing strategy

With the increasing importance of content to commercial success online, content is not something to leave to an intern; it needs a strategy to ensure it really supports marketing.

From curation to content partnerships, here are ways to develop a content marketing strategy without content creation

You don't want to just go wildly into the online sphere creating random content that says nothing about your brand or business. At best it will be mildly distracting, at worst it will confuse and alienate the people you are creating content for – your existing and potential customer base. Think about it: Yes, there are variations on the content, but within reason. There is a content strategy at play; they have thought about what they want to say, how they want to say it and to whom.

Step 1: Researching the company:

The first step in developing a content strategy framework is about understanding the company; Company business model | Sales structure | Grosser Products | Customers |Companies compliance and Market Understanding | etc.

Step 2: Reason out the need of content with ‘W’; answering these ‘W’s is a key
  • Why do we want to participate in content marketing?
  • What is that we need to content about
  • Who do we need to convince that our content marketing will be valuable?

Step 3: Ideate the Content

Take a leaf from the ‘W’ What for the same; As for success it is important that we break everything down to basics. We should think about what we want to say, whom we want to speak to and what we want to achieve from the outcome. Thumb Rule: If we always put content at the core of what we do, then we are half way there to success.

Step 4: Data Collection

We should believe in utilizing the data that we have available to make informed decisions. This applies specifically to content; the more we understand about the product and the customers, the more we are able to make informed and strategic decisions to the type(s) of content we want to produce.

Step 5: Idea time:

So now while we understood why content strategy is important, it's time to create our own content strategy. It's ideas time. The easiest way to begin formulating content strategy is to actually try and Think like your customer and create the content that they want.

Step 6: Create and promote the content

Think like a publisher

Whether you are a major corporation or a solo business, the process of brainstorming content strategy is fundamentally the same. To get started and to get the creative juices flowing. In this step, from the word "go" is to now create the pieces of content and crowd source it

Step 7: Assess content performance

After the content has been released and promoted, it's time to assess how the content has performed and any other learnings that can be taken away from the process. The long-term vision is that the content is able to fulfill the original goals of the content marketing strategy.

The bottom line is that a good content marketing strategy requires time and money.
